About 

The NESST Tukang Dormitory, is a next-generation Purpose Built Dormitory, developed under the Ministry of Manpower’s initiative. Designed to house approximately 2,400 residents, it redefines migrant worker accommodation through a focus on dignity, privacy, and pandemic resilience.

 

Each room accommodates a maximum of 12 occupants with ensuite facilities, generous living space, enhanced ventilation, and integrated social zones. The dormitory also features floor by floor kitchens, recreation and retail areas, green courtyards, fitness spaces, and isolation zones to ensure well-being and safety. Functioning as both a model and testbed for future dormitory standards, NESST Tukang represents Singapore’s new benchmark in worker housing combining functionality, sustainability, and a strong sense of community.
